Congresbury Youth Partnership celebrated young people who have gone the extra mile.

The annual awards ceremony, in remembrance of Tony Sullivan took place on June 28.

Medals and trophies were presented to 14 nominees from sports clubs, youth clubs and uniformed groups.

There is no overall winner, instead each nominee is bestowed the title of Person of the Year.

The initiative, running since 2011, looks to honour those who have offered exceptional support to their clubs and players.

The winners were Alexandra, Maddie, Harriet, Cecilia, Katy, Eliza, Harry, Hadley. Graham and John from Yeo Valley Lions, with Ellie, who is Congresbury's first ever Young Leader in Service Gold Award winner.

While other big winners who were absent from the presentation were Laura, Lucas, Callum and Jessica, who this year had the Cardinals Explorers Andy Fuller Award, given in memory of her father..
