A VILLAGE convenience store that hosts the only Post Office in the village has a new owner.
Specialist business property adviser, Christie & Co, has successfully completed the sale of Amors Stores in Wrington.
Located on a prominent corner position in the village, the Premier-branded convenience store and Post Office was newly refurbished in 2023 and is the only Post Office in the village, making it heavily relied on by locals.
The business was previously owned by Nirmalarojan Thurairajah, who purchased and refurbished the store in 2023, and has now sold the store to focus on his other businesses.
He said: “It has been a pleasure to work with Matt McFarlane and Christie & Co with the sale of my business.
“Having taken over a rundown premises back in early 2023, I have enjoyed refurbishing the property and developing the Post Office by adding a convenience offering.
“I would like to wish the new owner, Drhuvit Patel, all the very best with his new venture in continuing to serve the local community with much-needed services.”
The new owner, Mr Dhruvutkumar Patel, has worked in retail for many years and is looking forward to both driving the business forward and serving the community.
He said: “I would like to thank Matthew McFarlane from Christie & Co for his assistance with the purchase of the store.
“I am now looking forward to working with the local community, to provide them with all their everyday shopping needs and continuing to provide the essential local post office services.”
Matthew McFarlane, business agent at Christie & Co who handled the sale, said: “This is a wonderful store and is fabulously presented throughout, having gone through a full refurbishment and refit in 2023.
“There is a wide choice of produce, coffee, and food-to-go, which is always popular alongside keeping the Post Office in the village, which is always a much-needed service for any community. I wish the new owner, Dhruvit, all the very best.”
