Claverham is set to welcome its first zero-carbon homes, as Newland Homes unveils new 24 eco-friendly properties.
The collection of houses and bungalows, located in the North Field at Court de Wyck in the North Somerset village, is entirely powered by renewable technology.
The Marketing Suite will open its doors on June 29, 2024, with the showhome ready by autumn.
The energy-efficient homes will use Solar PV for electricity and power for the air source heat pump used for heating and hot water.
These measures, along with extensive insulation, contribute to the properties achieving an 'A' rating for energy efficiency and environmental impact, the highest score possible.
In addition to these environmentally-conscious features, the homes will also come with electric car charging points.
The North Field project sees another 24 homes to the community that Newland Homes had previously built upon its redevelopment of the former UTC Aerospace site on Bishops Road.
The collection of homes will consist of three and four-bedroom detached houses, along with two and three-bedroom detached bungalows.
These new zero carbon homes seamlessly blend in with the pre-existing constructions, carrying forward the design influenced by the historic location centred around the Grade-II listed Court de Wyck Georgian manor house and its former chapel.
Marcus Evans, sales and marketing director for Newland Homes, said:
"This location contains an abundance of local history and we are now making our own history by introducing these groundbreaking, environmentally friendly homes to Claverham, creating homes of the future fit for generations to come.
"The sense of community within the development continues to flourish and we look forward to welcoming new homeowners, who will have the pick of the first release of plots before our showhome opens later this year."
Further information is also available on their website.
For those interested in owning one of these pioneering eco-homes, prices start from £465,000 at the North Field at Court de Wyck.
