A COLLISION involving two cars which occurred in North Somerset on Saturday, June 8, has sparked an appeal for witnesses.
Avon and Somerset Police say the 'serious' incident occurred just before midday on the B3130 Chew Road, in the village of Winford.
The road was closed in both directions and motorists were advised to seek an alternative route, however it has since reopened.
In a statement issued shortly after the incident, a spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police said: "We are appealing for witnesses following a serious collision in Winford, Saturday, June 8.
"Officers are at the scene of a two-vehicle collision on the B3130 Chew Road, in Winford, near the cattle market, following a report at around 11.55am.
"Officers are keen to speak to anyone who was in the area and witnessed the collision, or have dashcam footage.
"If you were in the area between 11.30am and 12pm, please call 101 and quote log 384 (of today) to the call handler."
