BRISTOL Airport is seeking potential partners for its security services, with the tender process for contracts now open.

The management is particularly interested in firms experienced in airline and airport security.

Graeme Gamble, chief operating officer at Bristol Airport said: "We are inviting businesses to tender for the security services at Bristol Airport.

"The preferred partners are likely to have previous airport and airline security expertise and knowledge.

"Bristol Airport is a fast-paced and dynamic environment with innovation and new ways of working central to our business.

"We are looking for key business partners to provide a first-class security service to our customers, airlines and other partners based at the Airport meeting the same core strategic values."

The tendering process will occur in two stages, with interested suppliers invited to submit a questionnaire through Bristol Airport's e-tendering system by June 24.

Shortlisted suppliers will be announced on July 19 and invitations to tender will be issued the week of July 22.

An evaluation period will follow in September, which may include interviews, leading up to the intended award announcement on October 25 and the contract award itself on December 31.

The provision of security services includes the staffed security of Passenger and Staff Screening Areas at the airport.

The contract for the successful supplier will commence on April 1, 2025, and will run for three years, with the possibility of an extension for up to five years.
