Preschool children from The Nursery in Portishead visited one of the town's beloved community gardens to celebrate National Children's Gardening Week.
They enjoyed playing with toy lawnmowers and marvelling at the flowers grown by volunteers.
The Nursery's senior staff member, Mel Morton, said: "Children's Gardening Week is a great reminder in today's fast-paced digital world, how important it is to encourage children to step outside, explore the outdoors and engage in hands-on activities that promote creativity, curiosity and a love for nature."
Children's Gardening Week, which took place from May 25 to June 2 this year, is an annual event dedicated to encouraging children to get involved in gardening and foster a love for nature.
