PLANS have been submitted to North Somerset Council which seek permission to install new signage at a former library.
Last month, it was revealed by the Mercury that the disused Nailsea Library would soon be converted into a new restaurant.
Livro Lounge, part of Loungers PLC and described as an 'informal café-bar', will open at the library on Wednesday, August 14.
Now, plans have been submitted for 'advertisement consent for three illuminated Fascia signs and two illuminated menu boards together with external treatments.'
The applicant hopes to install a large illuminated 'LIVRO LOUNGE' sign to the right hand side of the north west elevation, where the Nailsea Library sign currently sits.
Either side of this, smaller signs made also from illuminated metal lettering which read 'café' and 'bar' would be erected if plans are approved.
Further to the right hand side of the building, the applicant plans to install another illuminated metal sign reading the words 'café bar', above where the opening times sign is currently placed.
To the left hand side of the main entrance door to the new restaurant, an illuminated menu board would be erected.
A handful of details about the design of the new Livro Lounge were also revealed in the plans.
It is proposed that window and door frames will be made from metal, and finished in a khaki grey colour, whilst existing 'rain chains' on the building will be repainted in 'honey yellow'.
On Facebook, a spokesperson for Livro Lounge said: "We are passionate about how each and every one of our Lounges' teams become engaged and embedded within their local communities.
"We're really excited to connect with the community in Nailsea by working with local groups, charities and businesses that are at the heart of the fabric of local life.
"Our informal café-bar will be open all day, every day for long, lazy breakfasts, sociable brunches and lunches, and relaxed dinners and drinks.
"We can't wait to meet you!"
The restaurant has already begun recruiting for staff members ahead of its planned opening date in August.
The spokesperson added: "We're looking for friendly and enthusiastic people to join our new team in Nailsea.
"Whether you're looking for a role as a Chef, Kitchen Porter, or a Bar and Waiting Team Member, we want to hear from you!"
