A PRIMARY school in North Somerset is celebrating being officially named a 'nurturing school'.
Yeo Moor Primary School in Clevedon has been officially awarded National Nurturing Schools accreditation, after being involved in NurtureUK's Nurturing Schools Programme since September 2023.
The aim of the course was to become accredited as an official 'Nurturing School' through an assessment and review process.
Now, staff and children at the school are celebrating their hard-earned achievement.
Head Teacher Roland Lovatt said: "We are now very proud to say that we have achieved this amazing accreditation - this is really good news!
"Yeo Moor Primary School is officially a 'Nurturing School.'
"This is true recognition of all the wonderful work that happens throughout our community."
The school also has an outdoor area with a forest-school-style setup, and flourishing nature areas.
Yeo Moor is innovative in its learning approach, with its 'irresistible curriculum' inspiring children who are passionate about going to school.
Yeo Moor has high-quality texts at the centre of its curriculum, which reportedly instil a love of reading and inspire writing in its pupils.
