For the first time, Bristol Airport has celebrated a record-breaking 10 million passengers in a twelve-month period.

To mark the occasion, ten randomly-selected customers received a variety of gifts including return flight tickets and retail vouchers.

Currently, the airport offers flights to over 120 direct locations in 31 countries, with hub services operating daily to major cities, such as Frankfurt, Dublin, and Paris, enabling customers to connect with hundreds of other global destinations.

With a £400m investment forecasted over the next five years, projects include introduction of cutting-edge security equipment, enhancements to the Air Traffic Control Tower, improvements to the terminal, and expansion of retail and catering services.

Construction of two new Executive Lounges is in the pipeline, with one slated for use by December 2024. The programme incorporates a £60m public transport interchange and multi-storey car park, scheduled for completion in the summer of 2025.

It is hoped this investment will deliver a larger interchange for public transport, an improved internal road system and a new multi-storey car park; comprehensive amenities including waiting rooms and rest facilities are part of this upgrade.

This project, which more than doubles the number of bus and coach bays from six to 16, cements the airport’s status as one of the region’s largest bus/coach interchanges.

"Over £400m is being invested in the Airport facilities which will be transformational, not just in terms of the buildings being created, but the experience we will be able to deliver to customers, airlines and business partners.

"We continue to make a major contribution to skills and employment in the region, by recruiting local people for local jobs and providing Apprenticeship opportunities across the fifty separate businesses we have based on site."
