Local eco-friendly refill shop Re:Store Congresbury is moving to a bigger premises on Tuesday May 7th.
Re:store Congresbury will be moving two doors down from their current premises, which is shared with Congars Café, to 5 Broad Street, formerly Ziggy’s Deli.
The new, larger shop space will help the refill grocery store continue its mission to provide an affordable refill shopping experience whilst bringing new opportunities to expand its stocklist and offer more services.
One of those services will be a new coffee shop with freshly made food including pastries, salads, bakes and cakes.
The store will also provide refill milk, Bo Bom Gelato and a grab-and-go breakfast and lunch offer.
Owned and run by Claire Jones and Jo Underwood, Re:Store Congresbury promotes practical plastic-free buying habits by using large containers to hold produce on the shelves and then having customers dispense their shopping into their own reusable bottles, bags, or tubs,
Their stock is also made up of only the cleanest and greenest products, avoiding food with any artificial flavourings and cleaning products with dangerous chemicals.
Re:Store is also approaching their fourth birthday having opened their doors on June 15th 2020 in the midst of COVID’s chaotic hold over the world, and in those four years they have refilled over 15,000 bottles, sold over two tonnes of washing up liquid, and topped up over one tonne of porridge oats.
Talking about the store’s relocation co-owner and manager Claire Jones said: “After starting in the middle of a pandemic, Jo and I are proud of our little refill shop and excited to grow and develop the business.
“We love being part of the local community and can’t wait to see our friends and customers in the new space.
We also wanted to say a huge thank you to Congars Cafe who have allowed us to share their space for nearly four years and wish them luck with their new community ventures.”
Re:Store Congresbury opens the doors of it’s new store on May 7th, and will be open Tuesday to Saturday every week between 09:00 to 16:00.
