THE team at Noah's Ark Zoo Farm will be celebrating the 10th birthday of their youngest African elephant, Sutton.
Sutton was the first male elephant in the world to be born by artificial insemination, using semen from a wild bull. At the start of May last year, Sutton transferred from West Midland Safari Park and joined 31-year-old Shaka and 17-year-old Janu at the zoo farm in Wraxall.
A spokesperson from Noah's Ark Zoo Farm said: "Celebrate with us this bank holiday!
"On Monday, May 6 we will be hosting a belated 10th birthday celebration for our youngest African elephant, Sutton!
"The elephant keeper team have created birthday-themed enrichment for him to enjoy. This celebration will be held around 1pm before the elephant keeper talk and be visible to watch from the elephant viewing seating area.
"Don't miss out on the fun this bank holiday and visit Noah's Ark!"
