With the springtime slowly coming into effect and summer just around the corner, the sights from the Royal Portbury Docks are about to be adorned with a lot more cruise ships this month.
Portbury Docks will be having four arrivals from two different cruise liners in May.
The Ambition is a 1428 passenger ship from Ambassador cruises and will be docking up three times this month.
The ship contains over 600 cabins for 1200 guests, has a gross tonnage of 48,123grt, and travels at a cruising speed of 20 knots.
The Amadea, formerly known as the MS Asuka, is a 624 passenger ship with 254 cabins and 11 decks that can cruise at 21 knots.
The Amadea will be departing and leaving the North Somerset shores just once this month.
Here is the port's full schedule for May:
- May 2nd – Ambition arrives at 3:30am, and departs at 4:15 pm
- May 13th – Ambition arrives at 10:00am, and departs at 8:00pm
- May 21st – Amadea arrives at 8:00am, and departs at 6:00pm
- May 23rd – Ambition arrives at 8:30am, and departs at 5:00pm
