A WORLD-leader in the supply and lifecycle management of refrigerants has won a Community Award for partnering with a Portishead group to clean up the local area.
A-Gas was named as a winner in the annual ACR News awards ceremony for the company's 30 Hours for 30 Years initiative.
Along with Turn the Tide, A-Gas carried out 30 hours of beach cleaning and litter picking, with the teams from Portbury and Portishead managing to fill an impressive 37 bags of litter.
This was in celebration of the company's 30th anniversary last year.
Jay Beresford, head of Site and Operations, said: "Winning the Community Award is a moment of real pride here at A-Gas.
"Our commitment to protecting and enhancing the environment is something we take very seriously, whether that be through reclaiming refrigerants or helping out our local communities.
"It is fantastic to be able to support local groups like Turn the Tide with their vision."
