EQUIPMENT at a North Somerset playground is being repeatedly targeted by a "local dog."
The seat of the zip wire at Backwell Playing Fields has been damaged by the pet pooch. The charity which looks after the fields has already replaced the seat once this year and encourages pet owners to discourage their animals from such behaviour.
A spokesperson from the Backwell Playing Fields Charity said: "Dog owners please help.
"We're aware of a local dog who enjoys chewing on the seat of our zip-wire.
"We had to replace the seat in January this year due to damage and now the seat has been chewed again.
"If you know the dog owner whose dog is the culprit please do discourage them if you feel safe to do so, but - most importantly - please contact us via DM as we'd like to avoid unnecessary expenditure of the Charity's funds if the seat needs replacing again."
