Ryanair has announced its schedule at Bristol Airport this summer - including six new routes.
One of Europe’s leading airlines, which carries nearly 60 million UK passengers annually, has announced its most extensive Bristol schedule ever.
It includes direct flights to six new destinations - Copenhagen, Fuerteventura, Marrakesh, Prague, Sofia, and Tirana.
The record scheduling is supported by five Bristol-based aircraft, two of which are high-efficiency Gamechangers, reducing CO2 emissions by 16 per cent and noise emissions by 40 per cent.
Ryanair’s summer schedule promises to deliver a $500m investment while supporting over 1,400 local jobs, including 150 for pilots, cabin crews, and engineers.
Growth to 2.1 million annual passengers is expected, on 36 total routes.
Limited-time seat sale fares starting at £19.99 are now available for booking at Ryanair's official site, in celebration of the new routes.
Ryanair’s head of comms, Jade Kirwan, said: "We're delighted to officially launch Ryanair’s biggest ever schedule for Bristol this summer with 36 routes, including six exciting new routes to Copenhagen, Fuerteventura, Marrakesh, Prague, Sofia, and Tirana, offering our customers in the south-west even more choice at the lowest fares.
"Our first summer '24 flights to Copenhagen, Marrakesh, Sofia, and Tirana took off just last week, performing phenomenally well, and we look forward to carrying more passengers onboard our first flights to Fuerteventura and Prague when they commence this July."
Bristol Airport’s CEO, Dave Lees, added: "We are delighted with Ryanair’s announcement increasing the 2024 flight programme to its largest ever schedule from Bristol Airport, it is a clear demonstration of confidence in the region for air travel.
"We very much welcome the deployment of the more efficient ‘Gamechanger’ aircraft from Bristol Airport and look forward to working with Ryanair on developing their route network and ensuring the increased use of quieter aircraft and more environmentally efficient operations in the future."
With Ryanair operating over 615 routes and carrying close to 60 million passengers to and from the UK per year on its UK-based fleet, this mammoth summer schedule from Bristol marks another significant investment.
