An exciting new painting is set to feature in Clevedon Art Club’s Exhibition next month.
Artist Steve Kinsella will have his new artwork exhibited at Clevedon Art Club’s Exhibition between April 5 and April 9.
The piece imagines the opening of the long awaited route across the River Yeo between Kingston Seymour and Wick St Lawrence, used for cycling, walking and riding.
It displays happy cyclists passing through Kingston Seymour, on the winding ‘pier to pier’ route linking Clevedon and Weston-super-Mare.
The link between existing lanes has been promised by North Somerset Council for years, with the most recent update being that it will open in Spring.
Steve said: "I was inspired by seeing magnificent tapestries by Sir Grayson Perry illustrating societal and political matters. I thought of creating something on this local issue which is eagerly awaited by thousands of people."
The picture can be viewed on Steve's website here.
