CLEVEDON'S Ladye Bay beach is still closed off following a landslide last month.
The beach and the coastal path above it will remain closed for the "foreseeable future" in order to keep visitors safe from any further landslides.
An expert has revealed that the landslide was due to a fault between two different ages of rock.
A Nature and Climate North Somerset spokesperson said: "Reminder: Ladye Bay beach in Clevedon is temporarily closed.
"Following a landslide, the beach and the coastal path above it will remain closed for the foreseeable future.
"Please avoid the area as further landslides may occur.
"A geologist has undertaken an assessment and the landslide is due to a fault between two different ages of rock.
"The fault is a mixture of soft clay and small rocks, there is a considerable amount of water flowing through the fault which has led to the collapse.
"Thank you for your understanding."
