World Book Day swept across North Somerset as nurseries and schools celebrated with vibrant fancy dress.
The event, which took place on March 7, saw children dressed up as popular characters like Patrick from SpongeBob SquarePants and Toy Story’s Woody at The Nursery in Portishead.
Peter Rabbit and Captain America were among others to feature at The Nursery.
As well as schools encouraging pupils to dress up as characters, a number of book fairs took place across the region, all in an effort to promote reading and to celebrate children's favourite stories.
