The concert will help raise funds for a community charity, to be chosen by the choir members.

The Good Afternoon Choir concept was initiated by Grenville, based in Bath, nearly 14 years ago.

Currently, there are 25 choirs under the umbrella in the South West of England, engaging over 1,000 members in 'Singing in the Afternoon'.

The North Somerset choir conducts its weekly rehearsals every Wednesday from 1pm to 3pm at the Nailsea Methodist Church.

Anyone interested in joining is invited to meet and join Jenkins and the choir.

The concert will feature guests The Harry Browns, a "shanty" group from Bristol.

Their performance often includes contemporary, self-written, and traditional sea songs.

Tickets, priced at £8, can be bought from gac.ticketlight.co.uk, and will also be available to buy on the door.

Jenkins said: "It is going to be a great night of music and we are absolutely delighted to be sharing the stage with The Harry Browns.

"Don’t miss it."
