A volunteer group in Clevedon has been working on clearing a local river.
The Land Yeo Friends were on the scene of a blockage at the start of Jacob's Walk by Strobe Road Bridge on February 10.
Volunteers have attributed it to overgrown Branched burr-reed and unpredictable weather
Following assistance from the Wessex Water Foundation, who provided the group with tools, they maintained the flow of the river.
The group also helped to make the path more accessible to the public, removing brambles and returning beauty to the location.
A spokesperson for the group, David Robinson said: "We have found the last few years quite difficult, as financial support and actual river clearing have not been up to the standard of the last twenty years, owing to staff shortages and funding difficulties in both the Environment Agency and North Somerset Council."
He reassured locals and said: "We will be at work again later in the month all being well, watch this space".
