TWO Domino's Pizza stores are amongst 11 North Somerset businesses which have received outstanding food hygiene scores since the start of the year.
Most of these establishments have scored a five out of five rating, meaning that they are clean, handle food safely and uphold good hygiene practices.
This includes preparation, cooking, re-heating, cooling and storage of food.
Businesses that receive a low food hygiene score are encouraged to work with the council to improve their rating or face closure.
The Food Standards Agency website explains further: "A business is given one of six ratings.
"These are on a scale from '0' at the bottom, which means that urgent improvement is necessary, to '5' at the top, which means that the business was found to have 'very good' hygiene standards. Any business should be able to reach this top rating.
"The food safety officer will explain to the person who owns or manages the business if there are any improvements needed, what they are and how they can achieve a higher rating."
