A nursery in Portishead is holding an open morning this weekend to explain the new government funding for childcare being introduced this year.
The Nursery in Combe Road will host funding experts to discuss benefits for working parents on Saturday, January 27.
Starting from April, the funding provides up to 15 hours of care per week for two-year-olds and for toddlers as young as nine months from September.
Natalie Collins, manager at The Nursery, said: "This is a huge boost for working parents.
"The cost of childcare is one of the biggest financial challenges many working parents face and this new funding will make outstanding childcare more accessible to all."
The event is open to everyone without any obligation, and not just for those interested in joining The Nursery.
Ms Collins added: "As a local childcare provider we feel it is important to ensure working parents know the facts, which is why we decided to open our doors to all and offer expert advice to all parents in our local community."
A special meeting with children's favourite character, Baby Shark, is also organised.
The Nursery, operating since 2015, has consistently maintained an 'Outstanding' Ofsted grade since its first inspection.
