THE Met Office has issued another weather warning for North Somerset as a second storm heads this way today (Tuesday, January 23).
A yellow wind warning is in place from midday covering the coastal area around Clevedon.
The Met Office has introduced the warning, which also covers a section of the coast in North Somerset and Bristol and a large area of Wales, the Midlands and the North East until 3pm tomorrow (Wednesday, January 24).
A spokesperson said: "A spell of strong winds associated with Storm Jocelyn is expected to affect the area leading to some localised disruption."
What to expect:
- Some bus and train services affected, with some journeys taking longer;
- Some delays to road, rail, air and ferry transport expected;
- Coastal routes, sea fronts and coastal communities will be affected by spray and/or large waves;
- Delays for high-sided vehicles on exposed routes and bridges.
Storm Jocelyn followed Storm Isha, which battered most the UK, including North Somerset from Sunday into Monday morning.
