SEVEN flights were diverted from Bristol Airport yesterday (Sunday, January 21) as Storm Isha battered North Somerset.
People in the region were warned of strong winds from 6pm on Sunday, January 21, until 6am this morning (Monday, January 22).
A Met Office spokesperson said: "Storm Isha will bring a spell of very strong winds during Sunday evening and into Monday.
"Disruption to travel and utilities is likely."
Similar to other airports, Bristol Airport experienced cancellations and diversions across the board.
This has had some knock-on effects for those travelling today. Passengers are urged to check with their airline for any updated information.
A Bristol Airport spokesperson said: “Storm Isha disrupted air travel across the UK and Ireland yesterday.
"Like other airports, Bristol Airport experienced cancellations and diversions of some flights. Yesterday’s disruption may have some knock-on effects for those travelling today, so we recommend customers check with their airline for the latest information.
"Passengers can also see live arrival and departures on our website.”
