BRISTOL Airport passengers who are jetting off to somewhere sunny this week are urged to give themselves more travel time due to the "essential" cable upgrade works on the A38.
Work to put in new underground high voltage cables on the Downside Road junction on the A38 has started today (Monday, January 22).
Work on the cables, some of which date back to the 1950s, is expected to finish on Friday, February 2.
Those needing to access the Silver Zone car park should leave more time to get to the southside of the airport.
A spokesperson from Bristol Airport said: "Please note that from Monday, January 22 January to Friday, February 2, the National Grid will be carrying out essential upgrade works to the A38 by the junction of Downside Road.
"Customers who have booked Silver Zone parking, please give yourself plenty of time to travel to the southside of the airport so you can check-in and relax before your flight."
