THE law has caught up with a Portishead motorist who kept an unlicensed vehicle in the street where he lives.
Neil Cawse, 40, of Downside, pleaded guilty at North Somerset Magistrates' Court to keeping a vehicle without up-to-date road tax.
The court was told that the offence was discovered on January 1, 2021.
An investigation showed that the previous licence had expired on April 30 the previous year.
Cawse was fined £440 and ordered to pay vehicle excise back duty of £136.67.
He must also pay a contribution of £90 towards prosecution costs.
He must settle his total court bill of £666.67 by February 9.
