A BACKWELL man has faced the court after being caught driving a vehicle whilst disqualified.
On October 3, 2023, Joey Hale, 38, of Moorfield Road, was stopped by Nailsea police officers who discovered that he was disqualified.
Hale was disqualified from driving for a further six months following his current ban.
If he hadn't committed this offence, he would have been back on the road by April 2024.
He was also ordered to pay a fine of £120, a surcharge of £96 and £85 in costs to the crown prosecution service.
A North Somerset Neighbourhood Policing spokesperson said: "On October 3 2023 on MOORFIELD ROAD, BACKWELL Joey HALE was stopped driving a vehicle whilst being disqualified from driving, by #NailseaNPT officers.
"Defendant - Joey Hale 38 years old, Moorfield road, Backwell.
"Disqualified from driving for a further six months following his current ban which would have expired in April 2024.
"Fine of £120.
"Costs to the crown prosecution service £85.
"To pay a surcharge of £96."
