A care home in Yatton has introduced a dedicated Santa's Letterbox for children and families of the village to write and send letters to Father Christmas.
Barchester’s Cadbury Hall Care Home is behind the concept, hoping it spreads cheer among local families during the holiday season.
The letterbox, which was crafted locally by Waste Less Yatton and Yatton's Repair Café, is positioned by the front door.
It is safeguarded from the weather to keep the children’s letters warm and dry until Santa's elves collect them each night.
The care home's residents will also partner with Father Christmas in replying to the letters.
Jake Ronaldson, of Cadbury Hall Care Home, emphasised on the letterbox's role in enhancing the spirit of the holiday season.
He said: "We are thrilled to introduce Santa’s Letterbox for the first time to the village.
"We hope it spreads some fun and holiday magic this year for families.
"It will help to create a magical connection between the generations by involving the whole community, whether young or old in adding the extra sparkle to Christmas.
"Parents and guardians are encouraged to assist little ones in crafting their letters and sharing special memories when writing their letters."
Families have been urged to send their letters before December 20, and to include their return address, so each one could be responded to.
