A POPULAR pub in North Somerset has made the Good Pub Guide's short list of England's best 'unspoilt' pubs.
The Crown Inn in Churchill, Winscombe, was one of just eight English pubs to make the prestigious list.
The Good Pub Guide said the pub is extremely popular among locals and visitors because of the feeling it has been 'untouched by time'.
Inside, you'll find seven real ales are tapped from the cask, including Bath Gem, Butcombe Bitter, Exmoor Ale, Palmers IPA, St Austell Tribute and an always changing guest - not forgetting a plethora of wines and four local ciders.
"The small and rather local-feeling room on the right, with a stone floor and cross beams, has a big log fire in a large stone fireplace and steps that lead up to another seating area," The Good Pub Guide said.
"The Mendip Morris men visit in summer and some of the best walking on the Mendips is nearby.
"There isn’t a pub sign outside, but no one seems to have a problem finding the place."
