JUMPING a red light has cost a motorist from Portishead almost £250.
David Robert Shore, aged 58, of Devonshire Drive, pleaded guilty to the offence at North Somerset Magistrates' Court.
The court heard on Tuesday (November 14) that he drove through the red light on the A4018 Whiteladies Road, in Bristol, on April 4 last year.
Shore was find £113 and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £34, as well as a contribution towards costs of £95, leaving him with a total court bill of £242.
He was also given three penalty points on his driving licence.
A further charge of failing to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence was withdrawn at the court hearing..
