PASSENGERS flying from Bristol Airport have been warned that there could be some delays to their flights today (Tuesday, November 7).
At around 5.30am this morning, the airport announced that flight operations were suspended until 8am due to a "technical problems with the airfield lighting equipment."
Posting on Facebook, a spokesperson said: "Due to technical problems with the airfield lighting equipment, flight operations have been suspended until 08:00hr this morning. Our engineers are currently working to resolve the issue and we will continue to update as the situation progresses.
"Customers are advised to contact their airline for the latest flight information."
Whilst flights have now resumed, delays are expected to occur throughout the day.
An update reads: "Some delays are still expected throughout the rest of the day and customers are advised to check with their airlines for the latest information."
