EMERGENCY services have been called to the scene of a collision involving a car and a motorcycle near Bristol Airport this afternoon (Friday, October 27).
The collision took place on the A38 in Redhill, located near the North Somerset-based airport.
One person has been taken to hospital with "serious injuries."
The road has been closed between the Airport Roundabout and Langford Road.
Posting on X, formerly known as Twitter, a police spokesperson said: "Emergency services are at the scene of a collision involving a car and motorcycle on the A38 in Redhill, near Bristol Airport, this afternoon.
"One person has been taken to hospital with serious injuries.
"Closures are in place between the Airport Roundabout and Langford Road."
Posting on Facebook, a spokesperson for North Somerset Council added: "Motorists are urged to avoid the area and seek an alternative route."
The ambulance service has been contacted for a comment.
