THE schedule for this year's Remembrance service in Portishead has been released.
The annual event, aimed at honouring those that have lost their lives in the line of duty, will take place on Saturday, November 11 and Sunday, November 12.
At 10.45am at Waitrose Plaza on the Saturday, there will be a short interdenominational service followed by two minutes silence.
On Sunday, the Remembrance Parade and church service will take place. At 10.15am, the parade will assemble on the High Street before observing The Act of Remembrance at 10.45am.
This will be followed by two minutes of silence at 11am. The parade will then move off via the High Street.
Visitors are welcome to watch. Road closures will be in place from from 9.45am until 12.15pm.
Roads affected with be Portishead High Street between Church Road South and Combe Road, Stoke Road, Church Road South with restricted access to the High Street at Brampton Way and Church Road North.
Diversions will be in place via St Peters Road, Slade Road and Combe Avenue.
