THE Safer Stronger North Somerset team have been cracking down on dogs being let off leads where they shouldn't be and owners leaving behind dog mess.
Owners are urged to keep their pets on the lead in areas where they are asked to do so.
It is also important to carry plenty of poo bags so that your dog doesn't leave behind an unsightly mess.
As part of their "day of action", the team have visited Portishead Lake Grounds. Posting on Facebook, a spokesperson said: "Another stop on our day of action is Portishead Lake Grounds.
"The team have been enforcing dogs on leads, making sure owners have sufficient poo bags and are cleaning up after their dogs.
"This makes for an enjoyable space for all using the lake grounds."
They have also visited Clevedon's Marine Lake. In another post, the spokesperson added: "More enforcement but at Marine Lake Clevedon this time.
"This is a No Dog area except for assistance dogs."
