ARTPORT is coming to Portishead this month.
The community focused, multi-arts Portishead Arts Festival takes place in three venues across the town: Somerset Hall, the Beacon Hub and the Folk Hall.
The festival will run from September 23 until September 24.
There will also be kids’ workshops at Portishead Youth Centre and live musical performances in Marina Square (outside H&W).
The three main venues will host an art fair and exhibition featuring over 50 artists from across the region, complete with live music, literary events, film workshops, circus skills and more.
The Folk Hall will be the venue for a world-class sculpture installation by local artist Hamish Young, which consists of 27,000 hand-made plaster shells. Each shell of Field, as it is known, is meant to represent every resident of Portishead.
Attendees can choose a shell and take it away with them to keep as an original piece of art.
