ST KATHERINE'S SCHOOL have commended their year eleven students on a superb GCSE results day.
There was great success across the board for students completing GCSE exams, as well as vocational qualifications.
Half of all year elevens at the school achieved grades 9-5 in English and maths.
20 students achieved a grade 9 in one or more subjects, totalling 57 grade 9s overall, which represented 5% of all grades for St Katherine's.
Several subjects saw huge numbers of students seeing success in the grades 9-7 range. These included the further maths qualification (50%), art (37%), photography (33%), French (32%), biology (31%), physics (27%), chemistry (26%), geography (26%), maths (22%).
For vocational qualifications, 50% achieved Distinction*-Distinction in sport, 31% in performing arts and 41% in engineering.

- Noah Sakalas: 6 x grade 9, 1 x grade 8, 1 x grade 7, 2 x grade 6
- George Garland: 5 x grade 9, 4 x grade 8, 1 x grade 7
- Leo Oakman: 5 x grade 9, 3 x grade 8, 1 x grade 7, 1 x grade 6
- Noah Pearson: 5 x grade 9, 1 x grade 8, 2 x grade 7, 2 x grade 5
- Oscar Foerster: 4 x grade 9, 3 x grade 8, 2 x grade 7, 1 x grade 6
- Sophia Harper: 3 x grade 9, 4 x grade 8, 1 x grade 7, 1 x Distinction
- Milly Marlow: 2 x grade 9, 3 x grade 8, 3 x grade 7, 1 x grade 6
St Katherine's Head of School, Justin Humphreys, said: “Congratulations to each Year 11 student on their results and personal achievements.
