CLEVEDON School Sixth Form students have performed particularly well against national benchmarks in this year's A levels.
Students collected their results today (Thursday, August 17).
Students' grades were higher than previous outcomes in 2019.
Across the sixth form, there were notable successes in Biology, Business, Drama, Criminology, English Literature and Psychology with many students bucking the national trend and securing the very top grades.
Over 80% of Year 13 university applicants have accepted their first-choice destination across a wide range of universities and courses.
Students sitting vocational courses also performed well, and many are planning to go on to study subjects like Sports Conditioning, Law and Health and Social Care.
Head of Clevedon’s sixth form, Katie Whiting, said: “Staff are so pleased with the excellent results achieved by students.
"Our students now have the grades needed to take their next steps to university, apprenticeships and employment. “The results reflect the dedicated approach both students and staff have taken over the last two years.”
