AVON Fire and Rescue Service have rescued a horse that was trapped in a rhyne.
On Friday, July 21, crew members from Portishead and Bedminster travelled to Clevedon Lane in Weston-in-Gordano to rescue the animal.
Alongside the owner, vet and a local farmer, firefighters safely rescued the horse from the rhyne using large animal rescue equipment.
The horse was soon reunited with its owner.
Posting on Twitter, a spokesperson from the fire service said: "We're always on hand to help even the four legged members of our community!"
