A new burger van has opened in Portishead today (Tuesday July 25).
The new facility, called H & A, is based at Bristol Road, home of Portishead Town Football Club.
It is open between the times of 7:30am to 2:30pm and then between 4:30 - 11pm and is open seven days a week, including on weekends, which will close at 4pm.
The general public can attend the venue and also order food to be delivered to their homes.
Manager Jess Strong has had plenty of experience within the local area, having been a hairdresser and is known to the club
Jess said she is happy to be working in the community and with Portishead Town, she says: "It’s great too help out and be apart of the football family.
"My partner (David Hewitt) has been a manager and player for many years and it’s also great for the kids and to be apart of the future."
Delivery driver David is also no stranger to helping out the community.
David, through the club, helped deliver food hampers to the elderly when people couldn't leave their houses through the Coronavirus pandemic.
David, who is on the coaching staff at Posset, said the new venture will link well with Portishead Town.
"I’m delighted myself and I think it’s great to still be able to give back to the club," he said.
"With all the ground renovations happening and people moving to the area it is ever growing and we are happy to be apart of that.
"It’s a family club and with the size of our club with our ever growing junior section it was needed. It’ll work in conjunction of the club and help on match days and so forth."
There is a range of food available, from burgers to sandwiches, and also have meals for both adults and children and Hewitt added: "A good hearty breakfast for all, we have vegan and vegetarian options and something for everyone. A local family business working with the football club and the community."
