Bay Window Seat (photos attached)
For this job the Client wanted a bay window seat with storage built for their daughter's room. These are a great way of utilising a difficult space for extra storage space!
A timber frame was built and then a Shaker-style front panel was made and fitted. The top had to be cut precisely to the shape of the bay and then scribed in whilst leaving an overhang at the front. I cut the two flip up lids out of the top itself using my track saw and then refitted them with hinges. Simple finger holes were cut into each lid to aid opening. A cushion will be made by the customer at a later date.
