Clevedon Town are looking for local young people and community groups to get involved with creating a mural depicting the history of the club along the entrance wall to the Everyone Active Stadium.

Following a successful application to the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, through North Somerset County Council, Town have teamed up with local mural artist Damien Jeffery – whose work can already be seen around Clevedon on the seafront, Hill Road and town centre – to create this special work.

“We have this amazingly rich history going back to the very earliest days of football in this country, and we have been looking for new ways to help tell our story that local people can access and engage with," said project coordinator Clive Gross.

"Through this funding we are now able to do that by brining together football, street art and local cultural heritage into this new project, which we also hope will show how the history of the club and the town are intertwined."

Over the coming weeks the Seasiders will hold creative workshops where scenes from the clubs history will be turned into scenes for the mural and participants will learn about street art techniques before the final work is painted at the stadium.
