ACCORDING to new data, Gordano is the third cheapest service station in the UK for charging your electric vehicle, writes Josie Cohen.
Electric vehicle experts at DriveElectric undersaw a study to find the top EV service station. A variety of factors were considered, including the quantity of EV chargers and review rating of service stations across the UK.
The study first looked at the 8 most affordable service stations to charge your electric vehicle.
Scotch Corner came in at number one, costing £0.50/kWh, making it 12p cheaper than the average charging cost across all service stations.
Rugby, South Mimms, Exeter, Hopwood Park, and Newport Pagnell all tied for second at £0.52/kWh, with a charging rate 17% cheaper than the UK average.
Gordano and Hilton Park came in third at £0.54/kWh, making them the third cheapest in the whole of the UK.
The study also examined the service stations with the most electric vehicle chargers.
In first, Exeter service station has a total number of 28 electrical vehicle chargers, including 12 ultra-rapid chargers and 16 Tesla superchargers.
Hilton Park, in 3rd place, has 21 EV chargers. However, none of these chargers are ultra-rapid.
Additionally, according to the survey, Sarn Park, which charges £0.76/kWh, is reported to be the costliest service station. Also, Tebay and Gloucester service stations each contain six stores, making them the ones with the most shops.
In all, the fact that Gordano is now the third-cheapest place in the UK to charge your car is significant news for the business, as they hope to only go up from here.
