"I acknowledge that Nailsea hosts a well attended lively monthly farmers market, but why on Tuesdays is it only the plant-man?
"We used to have a busy and diverse weekly market, some time ago in Clevedon Road carpark, then in the square, but not for a long time.
"I wouldn’t question it in these difficult economic times if it wasn’t for the thriving markets that take place in Clevedon and Portishead. Why don’t they come to Nailsea?
"I was in Clevedon last week with a friend on a beautiful sunny day and enjoyed browsing clothes, jewellery and gift stalls, as well as purchasing fresh fish, bread and fruit and veg.
"Tables and chairs were out and plenty of people enjoyed a coffee whilst listening to live music.
"I’m sure that a great deal of them also visited the local shops as we did.
"Please, does anyone have an answer to why the good people of Nailsea miss out? It seems a real shame and a missed opportunity to bring others into our community when decreased foot fall is closing our shops and killing our high street."
