JUMPING a red light has ended up costing s Clevedon motorist £416.
Kevin Richard Sweeting, 44, of Sandford Close, pleaded guilty at North Somerset Magistrates' Court to failing to comply with a traffic sign while driving in the city of Bristol on June 29 last year.
He was fined £233 and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £93, along with £90 towards prosecution costs.
Magistrates slapped three penalty points on Sweeting's driving licence.
A charge of failing to give police the identification of a driver alleged to have committed an offence was withdrawn
Sweeting was told he must pay off the total court bill of £416 at the rate of £100 a month starting on June 30.
