NAILSEA Croquet Club has raised money for charity in a one-ball competition.
Held annually by croquet clubs around the country, one-ball is a hybrid game where both players have just one ball rather than having two each, making it the perfect game for a charity event.
This year, Nailsea donated to the charity UK for UNHCR, which supports refugees worldwide. Nearly £150 was raised, contributing to the national total of around £6000.
The sky blue colour theme meant that 19 Nailsea players were dressed in blue as they played each other to try to qualify for one of the two national finals.
To continue the theme, at tea-time, there was a blueberry cake, made and donated by Mary Hogg.
Paul Arbos was the winner from Nailsea. He will proceed to the Nottingham Final in May.
