A HOUSING provider has been awarded £1.1 million in Help to Heat funding.
Alliance Homes, which has current and upcoming developments in Weston, Nailsea, Portishead and more, was awarded the sum by the government in order to keep their homes warm.
The funding was awarded by the new Department for Energy Security and Net Zero.
This is part of a national initiative worth almost £800 million.
Improvements will include external insulation, cavity insulation, loft insulation, PV solar panels and ventilation systems.
Louise Swain, Alliance Homes’ chief executive, commented: "I’m thrilled that Alliance has this opportunity to make more of our homes efficient to heat.
“Not only will this help our customers who continue to be hit hard by the cost-of-living crisis but it also matches our strategic goal of being a green and ethical business.”
The improvements will be rolled out over the next year.
