FIVE local Rotary clubs across Somerset have worked together over the last year to help raise money for Ukraine.
February 24 marks a year since the country was invaded by Russia.
Since then, the Rotary clubs from Portishead, Gordano Breakfast, Yatton, Clevedon Yeo and Nailsea & Blackwell have together raised an impressive £20,000.
The money has gone towards providing people on the ground with much-needed medical supplies, shelter for the winter and generators.
The funds have also helped people fleeing from the country, many of which are women and children seeking safety.
According to the Centre of Research and Analysis of Migration, 4,848,209 refugees have registered for temporary protection in Europe since the invasion.
Rotary Club across the region will continue to provide help and support to Ukraine as much as possible.
