THE Somerset Nature Connections project is running sessions for people who feel isolated or alone, giving them the opportunity to connect with nature and others.
This course will be running weekly from March 7 until April 4 2023, from 10am until 2pm.
The sessions will be held at Alfoxton Park, Holford. More courses are available at A Patch Wilder in the Mendip Hills.
The project allows people the chance to access natural spaces while focusing on making improvements to their mental and physical wellness.
The project is funded by the National Lottery Community Fund, which is in partnership with the Somerset Wildlife Trust, Mendip Hills, Quantock Hills and Blackdown Hills AONBs (Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty).
The sessions will explore the five pathways to nature connectedness, which include:
- Contact.
- Beauty.
- Emotion.
- Compassion.
- Meaning.
This course is for you if you are feeling socially isolated and/or are experiencing mild to moderate depression, low mood, anxiety or stress.
There are still spaces available on our @SNatureConnect course in @MendipHillsAONB! 💚🌱
