A PORTISHEAD music duo are celebrating success at the Radio Wigwam International Music Awards.

Rich Sidwick and Mike Palomares won the Classic Rock & Blues Act award in 2022, competing against 4,500 acts from across the globe, many of whom were hoping to make a name for themselves at the iconic Bedford Hotel in London.

Their entry, Whiskey in the Water, was a hit, while also being in line with the duo's name, Born & Brewed, which they have adopted during their 14 years of musical partnership.

Both sides are dedicated to creating the best music they can. Mike has stepped back from full time hairdressing in his salon to free up more time, while Rich has taken a music degree at Weston University to perfect his vocals.

The pair will be performing throughout the south west during 2023, using their personal experiences to create meaningful music that could help people through difficult times.
