FIRST there were the wiggly lines, now there's new roadmarking on Clevedon seafront resembling an "alien landing pad circle".
Cathy Hawkins says the latest addition to the rod surface appeared "mysteriously - in the dead of night".
She said: "Is it a crop circle for tarmac?
"Is it a warning of alien craft arriving to inspect the carnage on Clevedon seafront?
"Clevedon residents are completely baffled."
It follows outrage at the addition of wiggly lines painted on the road surface- (see picture below).
North Somerset Council claimed that was to make the road appear narrower, slow down traffic and cut unwanted parking.

More recently, white lines have been removed at the Elton Road end of the seafront and the loading bay by Scarlett's café altered.
"Clevedon residents once again are wondering what on earth is going on," said Cathy.
"A new bus and coach stop blocking traffic heading to Marine Hill has been placed in entirely the incorrect position and should be set back according to the NSC plan.
"The bus stop in its present position will block walkers' view from cyclists coming down Marine Hill and entering the cycle track opposite Scarlett's. It is so dangerous."
She added: "This along with vehicles still ignoring one-way roads, changing Clevedon seafront has become a recipe for disaster."
A North Somerset Council spokesperson said: "The circle was in place by Tuesday morning and is a part of a new roundabout layout which will help control the flow and speed of traffic.
"A 'buff' surface will be applied to the circle in the spring, which vehicles will be able to drive over."
